It’s good to be back with a style post. I mentioned from my previous post how good dressing keeps me grounded and it always has.
My fascination with traditional and twist is the key factor why I continue to look for ways of elevating my personal style to keep me in my wavelength. What I’m trying to say is I always like to try new things and experiment with different forms of clothing because it adds spice to my life. Risk-taking is something I’m comfortable with.
Another thing I find comfort in doing is seeing talent and helping the people who possess it move forward with the innate ability that they have – the ability to create something that moves the eyes and the soul. Talent needs presentation and one of my good friends has a way of doing so.
Kimonos are his current obsessions of creating. With the rise of stylistas wearing kimonos in the fashion streets around the globe, it’s safe to say that the traditional always has its way of returning and this time, as an outerwear.
The flowy length and the Japanese cut properly contrasts with the edge of the any urban backdrop from around the world. It could also be an alternative for coats and would make even greater statements from a day-to-day street-werqing to a fine cocktails occasion.
I, for one, would also invest in this type of garment because aside from its comfort, voice, and cultural importance, it also makes me want to fly – a boy can dream, right? Haha

Wow I admire your passion and style in clothing. I like your simple but elegant of style… I agree that sometimes we should explore and try other style we should not stick on traditional style but we should upgrade it according to our taste and passion. It always reflect on our personality.

Uy ayos iyan. To be honest, I am having a hard time absorbing a Filipino wearing kimono, pero wait, I wear bath robes when I am in hotels, so that says something. Ok I take back what I said earlier. Kidding aside, kimonos as I was made to understand is exactly how you described it in one word – comfortable. Medyo mahirap lang siguro mag catch on here sa atin.

I agree some Filipinos have a hard time to appreciate kimono wear. But when I look at this, it’s different (in a good way) compared to other. Personally, I like the pattern. It’s so stylish and modern.

Oh wow! This is something new nowadays. I mean, it’s usual for men to wear a kimono only ones who can actually nail wearing it, like you. There are just some men you can’t play with clothes, sometimes they’ll go with what makes them safe (pants and shirts), but I guess once in a while exploring is cool.

That is so anime! cool to see that actual garment.. I see you say it’s comfortable.. For once I thought it would be so hard putting those on, and will give more body heat.. thanks for the share.. maybe i’ll try one of those someday!

It’s not really hot since it’s made of light fabric unlike the traditional ones that are made of silk. You should try!

Konichiwa. The kimono suits you. It makes you look so comfortable and at ease. Plus it definitely adds style and character.

I think that coat looks cool! It is great for making a dramatic entrance. I actually saw a young man wearing a kimono like that when I was in Hiroshima in the spring. I was surprised but now that I know they are more fashionable it makes sense to me.

This reminds me a lot of a friend from HS who is so much fan of kimonos. Every time we have an event, he always wears it. He looks good wearing it. If oks lang talaga suutin sya araw araw dito satin, for sure a lot won’t find it awkward to wear it.

Wow A Kimono worn with modern twist! I am a big fan of Japanese culture and wearing a kimono like that could be a very rewarding experience for me.. wearin it feels like one of those anime characters! It looks really comfortable to wear too!
